Every job gets its number
Every part comes in with its job number, its customer and its vehicle: the same reference you use in your invoicing software and the one on the tag on the shelf.
Everyone on the team knows what came in, who's on it and what's left before it goes out the door. Jobs, inspections, quotes, photos and spare parts in one app: on the phones out on the shop floor and on the computer in the office.

Tap the dots on the part
Say that's what a head job is worth to you. The quote that ends up on a sticky note never comes back, and nobody remembers to follow up.
What it takes to redo an inspection that was already done. "Was this head checked?" "Did you order the part yet?", shouted across the shop.
Say that's what an argument you can't win costs you. Without a photo of how the part came in, you eat the claim.
Example figures, not market data. Put in your own in the calculator and see for yourself.
The part comes in: customer, vehicle, what they want done and by when. The app gives it a job number and a photo.
The part gets checked, you note what's good and what isn't, and the boss signs off.
You put together the internal quote and log the customer's answer: accepted, declined or still thinking.
The machinist works the part and checks off tasks and spare parts. The whole team sees it instantly.
The customer gets a WhatsApp with the message already written, you mark it paid, and the full history stays on file.
Every part comes in with its job number, its customer and its vehicle: the same reference you use in your invoicing software and the one on the tag on the shelf.
"When can I have it?" gets written down when the customer asks, at check-in. From then on the app tells you what's due today and what's already late, before the phone rings.
The part gets checked, the machinist asks the boss for approval, and it's on record whether the customer accepts, declines or wants to think about it. With the payment status right next to it.
How it came in and how it went out, right in the job. A gallery to swipe through them, rotate them and download them. When a customer pushes back, you'll have your answer.
One screen with everything you need to buy, grouped by supplier (because that's how you order it), which job each part is for and whether it's arrived.
What's slipping through the cracks, on one screen: unpaid, stalled, quotes with no answer and waiting for parts. Each alert opens the exact list of jobs behind it.
When you check in a part, the app loads its inspections, its tasks and the spare parts it usually needs on its own. The machinist taps instead of typing; writing by hand is for the odd job. And you can change all of it in Settings, because every shop does things its own way.
Six part types out of the box (cylinder head, engine block, crankshaft, connecting rod, complete engine and injector), plus any you want to add yourself.
Screenshots of the app as it is today, with demo data. This is how it looks on a phone in the shop; on a tablet or computer it's the same, with more room.
Five screens explained, two minutes. No sign-up, no sales call.
Photos of real jobs from the shop NOCTUX was built with.
NOCTUX was written next to the workbench: the owner of an engine machine shop in Spain asked for something, it got built that week, and he tried it on real parts the next day. Every feature in the list above came from one of his requests, not from a business software template.
In a cylinder head and engine machine shop in Spain since May 2026, every working day, with its crew and its customers.
On the App Store and Google Play. The listings are public and show screenshots of the app.
The full guides are open to everyone: the owner's guide and the mechanic's guide. Read them before you download anything.
THE SHOP OWNER'S EXACT WORDS, AS HE SAYS THEMFirst and last nameShop, City
We don't know your shop. Put in your three numbers and see for yourself how much is up in the air every month.
These are example numbers for a small shop of three or four people. Move all three until they look like yours.
a month goes through jobs that you're not keeping track of today.
a year, at that pace.
a month that slip through the cracks: late, redone, lost or unpaid.
Now set the plan price against that number: you'll see it in your currency in the App Store or Google Play before you subscribe. And the first 14 days cost nothing.
You did the math above with three ballpark numbers. The app does it every day with your real jobs, and that's the screen next to this: the six alerts, with their count and their amount. Each one opens the exact list of jobs, because a number that doesn't lead anywhere is just decoration.
You'll see the price in your currency in the App Store or Google Play, and in the app, before you subscribe. Everything included, no contract, no setup fee.
Apple or Google bills it to your store account, month to month, and you cancel from there whenever you like.
The flow is the same as long as the customer brings you the part: it comes in, gets inspected, quoted, worked on and handed back. And a lot of the time, the one bringing it is another shop. If that's your day, this fits even if the part isn't a cylinder head.
Where it doesn't fit, and we'd rather tell you before you waste your time: general auto repair, body shops or quick lube. There the vehicle stays in the shop and you need scheduling, inspections and invoicing, which NOCTUX doesn't do and isn't going to.
Try it free for 14 days with your partsIf it's not a fit, you'll know before you pay a thing. Questions before you download it? Write to [email protected]: we'd rather lose a sale than a customer.
One monthly plan per shop, with up to 5 users and every feature included. You'll see the exact price in your currency in the App Store or Google Play, and in the app, before you subscribe. First you get a 14-day free trial, no card needed. No contract: you pay month to month and stop whenever you want.
We won't promise you a savings figure: we don't know your shop, and any number we made up would be a lie. What NOCTUX does is show you where money is slipping away (unpaid jobs, stalled jobs, unanswered quotes, parts waiting on a spare, late deliveries), and with that in front of you, you decide. Run the numbers for your own shop in the calculator.
Yes, right now and without signing up: there's the app tour, with a one-minute video and five screens explained, the real screenshots on this page, and both full guides (owner and mechanic). And if you want to see it with your own jobs, download it and try it free for 14 days: no need to talk to anyone there either.
Download the app, tap “Try free for 14 days” and create your shop: it takes two minutes and no card is needed. You start with sample jobs to see how it works and, whenever you're ready, you add your own and invite your team from inside the app. If you get stuck, go to Settings and tap “Talk to support”.
A person, not a call center: Héctor López Roldán, who wrote the app and is the one who answers you. Inside the app you have a chat with him (Settings → “Talk to support”), and if you don't have it yet, you can write to [email protected]. NOCTUX is run from Spain; the full business details are at the bottom of this page and in the terms.
On iPhone and iPad from the App Store, on Android from Google Play, and in any browser on a phone, tablet or computer at noctuxapp.com/app. Everything syncs instantly across all three.
No. When you check in a cylinder head, the app loads its five inspections (pressure test, flatness, cracks, valves and measurements), its nine tasks and the spare parts it usually needs on its own; same for the engine block, crankshaft, connecting rod, complete engine and injector. The machinist taps instead of typing. Everything can be edited in Settings, and you can add your own part types. Take a look here.
It's built so a machinist gets it on day one: the team guide takes five minutes to read. You can read both right now, no sign-up: owner's guide and mechanic's guide. And the trial starts with sample jobs, so you see it working before you enter anything of your own.
No. The iPhone, iPad and Android apps are free to download. The only thing you pay for is the shop's subscription, which the owner takes out from inside the app when the trial ends, with the price shown in the store in your currency. It covers the whole team and all their devices.
If you're the owner, tap “Try free for 14 days” and create your shop. If your shop already uses NOCTUX, ask your boss for an invite: when you open the app, tap “My shop invited me” and enter the code they send you. If something won't let you in, email us at [email protected].
You take the shop's data with you in an Excel file: customers, jobs, tasks, inspections, spare parts and download links for the photos and videos. No penalty, nothing held back.
The shop decides which alerts to turn on for new jobs and status changes, and whether the whole team gets them or just the office. Push notifications arrive in the mobile app.
Automatic backup every day and Google Cloud servers in Europe, in compliance with the GDPR. Each shop only sees its own data.
It was born and proven in engine machine work, and it comes ready for that: every part already has its inspections, tasks and spare parts. It works just as well in any shop where the customer brings in the part (turbos, injection, transmissions, alternators, radiators, machinery), because the flow is the same. Where it doesn't fit is general auto repair, body shops or quick lube: there the vehicle stays and you need scheduling, inspections and invoicing, which NOCTUX doesn't do. If you're not sure, write to us and we'll give you a straight answer.
Download the app, create your shop and use it free for 14 days, no card needed. You start with sample jobs to see how it works and delete them when you're ready to add your own. If you like it, you subscribe right inside the app.
